The Daily Scoop

Drag Racer creators spicing up something new, but are they?
It's been since the 9th of March when Renegade ENT. (creators of the Drag Racer series) have even posted anything on their website's main news. But it seems like "Sindicate", their next title doesn't seem to be going that well. There is no final word on it. But still, is it down the drain?

Urgemedia Using Heli as launch pad
It seems to be that new developers Urgemedia (us) who launched a thread a week ago about people wanting to join are going to be using their game "Heli" as a launch pad for their website and the team. Can we pull it off? Currently, the game looks great as you can see and its playing wonderfully... Head on over to our temporary boards at www.speedcheckzero.tk

Help rate new Flash in the Portal!

For those who are new to the site, or are not aware, all Flash that gets submitted to Newgrounds enters into the 50 Most Recent list in the Flash Portal. All Flash must pass through a judgment stage. For a Flash to survive the judgment phase and become eligible to stay on the site it must receive 200 votes and be above a certain score. It also most avoid having the whistle option used to alert NG administrators to entries which are stolen, or break other rules we have listed at the bottom of the Flash Portal Submission page.

We are always encouraging as many users as we can to help participate in this process. The more help we have, the more fair the outcome will be for the artist who submit Flash content to Newgrounds.

Users are rewarded for their efforts with various stats, but you have to have an account to record your stats, and a public profile to show off your stats. Creating an account is free; just click the sign up link at the top right corner of any Newgrounds page.

Also we appreciate anyone who can take the time to write a well thought out review to the entries they watch. Our artists enjoy feedback on their work. Just be sure to review the review guidelines so you will avoid violating them and having yourself banned from reviewing.

Also it is very important that you watch the Flash entries all the way through! Some submitters try to trick our viewers with an impressive opening, only to switch to something offensive, or crappy, later into the production. Most of our artists put a lot of effort into their entries, so please take the time to watch the entry before casting votes and leaving reviews.

TV and NG Pick-up lines

Since all these ancient forgotten characters are posting I figured I might as well join 'em, now that I finally have some news.
I just moved to SF from Seattle to work on the first ever FLASH TV SHOW! I don't know anyone and it's scary here so if you live in SF drop me a line and smoke me out.
Do you have the funniest Flash ever made? If so, send me an e-mail for a chance to see your Flash on our new show to be aired next fall on Spike TV! Some of you have already recieved E-mails from me and our Executive Producer asking your permission to PAY YOU $1000 for your Flash to stick it on the tube. Production has begun, so the sooner you let me know, the sooner you'll have an edge! And you won't BELIEVE who the host is!
I really really wanted to interview Tom for our first episode, but in the fast-paced world of broadcast media, you never get what you want. :/
So I'm talking to this girl yesterday and the conversation went something like this:

Girl: "Oh, you make Flash? Have you ever heard of Newgrounds.com?"
Me: "Sheeeit girl, I MADE that site what it is! You ever seen Pimp's Quest?"
Girl: "Um, no."
Me: "Stick Slayer?"
Girl: "Um, no."
Uh oh, I'm losin her... methinks.
Me: "Retarded Animal Babies?"
Girl: "Oh I LOVE that cartoon!!! You made that??"
Me: "Um, no."

Then we bonded over Salad Fingers.
I guess I better hurry up and finish a cartoon or something, huh??

Ah yes, current Flash projects = LIBERTAS: EX MACHINUS, a revolutionary new way of animating in Flash that has never been seen before! Also, BATTLEMAN vs CHUCK NORRIS: Richard Simmons raises an army of cloned Chuck Norrises to usher in the second coming of Christ! Can Battleman stop them in time? And of course, PIMP'S QUEST II.
Now to hit that post button and see if I really do still have front-page posting status after all these years...
